wemyss malt whiskyDuring November 2013, the Edinburgh based boutique spirits company Wemyss Malts released their new  Festive Season single cask expressions through the Masters of Malt website.  And with names such as “Toffee Glaze”, “Merchant’s Mahogany Chest” and “Coconut and Sandalwood” we just had to get our hands on a bottle or two. But as we were looking at the selection, they sold out, right in front of our eyes.

Within minutes the description on the website turned from ‘AVAILABLE’ to “SOLD OUT” and our hearts fell.  We have not managed to find Wemyss in South Africa yet.  We are reliant on finding it overseas and then shipping it to SA.   So we grabbed the first 3 Wemyss expressions that was still available before they could also disappear.  Luckily we  managed to get our hands a few expressions.
