Paul John is a brand of Indian single malt whisky and single cask whisky, manufactured by John Distilleries in India. The whisky is made from Indian malted barley and, for some variants, imported Scottish peat. It is distilled in traditional copper pot stills and then matured in American Oak Casks in Goa
Paul John Single Malt Whisky was first launched in the year 2012 in the United Kingdom and in Goa, India in 2013 followed by the launch in Bangalore in the year 2015.

I started 2022 with a bold sherried expression from India when I tasted the Paul John Oloroso Select Cask whisky, and today I continue the drams from the Indian continent. The Paul John Bold Indian single malt is a peated whisky released by the John Distillery in 2015.
At the start of December 2021, I tasted the Paul John PX Cask Indian single malt whisky. A rich and dram from India that is ideally suited for winter sipping. December in South Africa is during summer, and as lovely as the PX Cask was, I am keeping my bottle for winter. The Paul John Master Distiller, Michael D’souza, also released an Oloroso Select Cask finish Indian single malt whisky.
Something sweet to start December on; the Paul John PX Select Cask Indian single malt whisky. Sherry reminds me of December and my Dutch grandmother. During the festive season, she enjoyed a late afternoon sherry on the patio.
Today I am trying the Paul John Nirvana whisky and if you have been following me on social media for a while, you would know that I love whisky from the Paul John Distillery in India. I have tasted all the releases in their core range and loved it.
