Weekends are time for playing around and what better fun than to try out take-away with all kinds of whiskey. Pairing KFC with all kinds of bourbons was a fun experiment and I now regularly pull out the bottle of Jack Daniel’s when we have friend chicken. Pizza and whisky also make for a great experiment with my favourite being an Hawaiian pizza paired with a sweet bourbon.
Cocktails
I love a well made Old Fashioned cocktail, but for some reason, whisky works very well with Amaretto as well. My favourite grownup dessert cocktail is a Don Pedro where you mix whisky and ice cream. But I love a well made Cosmopolitan or a big jug of sangria as well.
Cooking with whisky
Adding whisky to food makes for fun experiments. My favourite being my tiramisu with Irish whiskey. Simply delicious!
